The professors take the time with their teaching to make sure the students understand what is being taught. It's hard to decide which course I like best. I highly recommend CRI.
I had not realized that my mind was so hungry, that the Truth was so simple and so powerful; Truth rooted in the scripture of a Bible I had read multiple times without an understanding of what was right in front of me. I will always be grateful for hearing the true Gospel and for the freedom that would never have been gifted to me if I had not heard it and received it.
Dr Jack’s favorite quote from scripture has become one of mine too!
Colossians 2:13-15
13 "And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15 He disarmed the rulers and authorities[a] and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.["

"Currently I am studying The Attributes of God and a study on the book of Romans. CRI has impacted my understanding of Theology "

If you have never read or heard a teaching under Reformed Theology, a course from CRI is a good place to start. Topics are well-grounded in scripture and presented by experienced and knowledgeable men of God.

The classes are high-level, verse by verse instruction. This is what Covenant Reformed Institute teaches.

I am amazed at how this course showed the faith required by those holding to belief in all the beauty of the universe happening out of chaos, while the Bible gives the details of how everything came into being.

"I have learned so much about Theology, which, in my opinion, brings the Bible even more alive. CRI plays a very big role in how to read and understand the greatest HOLY book ever written."

“One of the things I appreciate most about the CRI courses, is the ability to ask questions. There have been times where a student’s understanding was different than the discussion. The Professor has listened and asked for what Bible references they formed their opinions. He then opens the text and reviews with everyone so we may hear and form our ideas on the matter. He not only reviews what the student brought forward, but other areas of scripture that are relevant to the topic at hand. Everything always comes back to the Bible. The Prof is always prepared to show the basis for his opinion, and welcomes the discussion.”

"During all the time I sat under leadership from Roman Catholic, Episcopal, COGIC and AG churches, I had never heard anything like the teaching by Dr. Jack Simpson on the Providence of God and His Purposeful Sovereignty. "

My favorite example of Dr Jack’s clarification on translation is John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. The use of “so” gets modernized in our use of the English language; however, a more accurate translation of the original text would be more attune to “God loves the world in this way” or so replace “so” with “thus”. Pastor Jack explains it far better than I, however, it is a great example of how he gets to the root of the Bible to aid in our understanding.”

CRI has taught me the importance of theology, also doctrines, and other important information that has greatly increased my growth and desire to study Scripture.

My first class with Covenant Reformed Institute on the Providence and Sovereignty of God started me on a wonderful path in understanding God’s word, strengthening my faith, enhancing discernment, and spiritual growth. Pastor Jack has been a tremendous influence on my desire to study the Bible. He is patient and willing to answer all of my questions and has taught me that the pursuit of truth should be relentless. Covenant Reformed Institute's commitment to Biblical truth encourages deeper theological understanding. Currently, I’m studying the Attributes of God and the book of Romans, and I look forward to continuing to grow in my faith and understanding of Scripture with future courses.

"I have learned that God is a God of covenants. His character and attributes make Him infinitely holy and unable to lie or contradict Himself. This was a powerful assurance for me."

“One of the things I truly appreciate about DrJack is his willingness to dive deep into the scripture. He will take you back to the source languages, explain the cultural nuances of the time, and show how some of the translations out there can be misleading if we apply our current use of language to the passages, given the translator’s choice of words.

"I have participated in Dr Jack's studies for approximately two years. Although I thought I understood the Bible, Dr Jack’s studies gave me a completely new perspective. I also enjoy the Dr Jack encourages all his students to ask questions whether its in the class or even sending him and email, he also strives to ensure you understand the answer he gives you. Personal spiritual development is considered an important aspect, and Dr Jack aims to ensure that this area is appropriately supported.
I've improved my approach to reading the Bible, praying, and applying its teachings in daily life.

“I started attending Dr Jack Simpson’s classes virtually during COVID. It was great to find a source of accurate Biblical teaching when so many churches have stopped doing anything. As the years go by, I still look forward to attending his classes and deepening my understanding of God.”

I have studied the Attributes of God at CRI, in addition to the Gospels. I have grown in my understanding of the trith of Scripture.

It seems as though the church today is lost in terms of “knowing God’ and many believe that theological study has no value. We fail to recognize that God has taken great pains to reveal Himself to His people through Scripture. A blind faith leads to so many unanswered questions. Therefore, the quest for wisdom and direction has become more crucial than ever. The courses at Covenant Reformed Institute are teaching me to search for answers in God’s word, and that the right belief/faith comes from the right revelation/ the Bible.
